Listen: Catlips - Fade (Roland Tings Remix)

A free download from us to you!

As the threat of "hallucinatory visuals and an oddball ensemble of drum machines" loops draws closer (see the heavily anticipated Roland Tings & Catlips tour, which includes our very own At The Pile) Pilerats have a brand new remix to throw at you just for the occasion!

A constantly in demand remix artist, Melbourne producer Roland Tings chooses to only put his touch to the very best new music Australia has to offer. In the last few months he's unleashed official remixes of US talk show alumni Chet Faker, and Sydney party starters Bag Raiders, and now he's delivereds a stomping 6-minute remix of the debut single from Perth wonky house wizardress Catlips. The original is a stone-cold kooky dancefloor gem, a debut single indebted to many weekends spent in the best nightclubs all around the globe, and a larger than life opening statement for Katie Campbell's Catlips project. In the hands of Roland Tings the track is stretched out into the solar system and beyond, leaning hard on the long build-slow release, the track glistens and bumps through a pitched down vocal, to an ecstatic late night banger of a finale.

Big ups InTheMix for the PREMIERE, and you can get it for free from the Pilerats Soundcloud, now:
