After creeping into the lime-light with her beautiful vocal feature on Spirit Faces’ Cloudplay, Sydney-based producer and vocalist BUOY has returned with her debut single Took Me Up, released through October Records. Premiering over at Pigeons & Planes, Took Me Up is a careful blend of the R&B-influenced electronica genre made popular by the likes of James Blake and FKA Twigs, with beautifully tender vocal work over the top. Took Me Up is an impressive debut from the singer and we can be sure that rest of the EP, entitled Immersion, will be just as good. Pre-order the Immersion EP on iTunes HERE.
