Listen: Boy Scout - Bitter Blue

Listen: Boy Scout - Bitter Blue

After their acclaimed debut, Get Me By, Boy Scout are back with a beautifully textured sophomore release, Bitter Blue.

Drawing praise from all corners of the web, Boy Scout’s premiere, Get Me By garnered our attention with its folk-driven construction whilst drawing on electronic influences. It’s safe to say that their new single, Bitter Blue is no exception. The track’s synth tones are superbly layered with its percussion (at times reminiscent of a camera shutter) and echoing guitar riffs. With gentle vocals atop, the elements amalgamate to evoke the feeling of looking out of a window on a rainy day. Although it’s only the duo’s second release, Bitter Blue cements Boy Scout as future staples of the electronic-folk sub-genre and we can’t wait to see what’s on the horizon.
