We've been following Melbourne duo Back Back Forward Punch for a couple of years now, with the production/vocals duo of Andy Lidell and Laura Boland releasing a steady stream of nu-disco numbers that really ramped up with Emergency Bow Tie last year. No Answer sees them really finding a strong, unique foothold in Australia with a more down-tempo sound, one that evokes early days RUFUS and even a bit of Hot Chip at times. The delicate production of Lidell, combined with the soothing vocals of Boland make for an effortlessly chilled piece of electronica, and bodes well for their debut EP release later this year.
