After announcing the cut on Instagram last week, Kieran Hebden AKA Four Tet has released his first music for the year in the form of tranquil new single Loved, the first release from his as-yet-unnamed new album.

Opening with laid back drum breaks and percussive textures, Loved soon gives way to emotional, melancholic synths that at this point in his 25+ year career are undeniably Four Tet. Across four minutes, Loved takes the listener on a wistful, almost melancholic instrumental journey into pure beautiful beat bliss.

Loved is Four Tet’s first new solo music since last year’s Three Drums single, while his last studio album Sixteen Oceans dropped back in March 2020 - fingers crossed the next album isn’t too far away…
