AlunaGeorge links up with ZHU for another killer new single, My Blood

AlunaGeorge continues her quest for domination with her new song and music video My Blood featuring ZHU. ‘Less is more’ is an art and director Daniel Iglesias has succeeded, shooting the whole video on just one set - a bedroom donned in fairy lights, old cigarettes, alcohol and a broken mirror. There’s no romanticizing the fallout of a breakup; it’s bare and messy just like Aluna depicts. The use of just one location makes for a much more intimate video, with Iglesias taking full advantage of Aluna’s exotic complex and body for revealing close ups. Without distractions and keeping with simplicity, Iglesias allows Aluna’s lyrics to shine through and you wouldn’t want it any other way. A soulful and powerful ballad, AlunaGeorge and ZHU are only adding to the hype for AlunaGeorge’s next album I Remember, coming later this year.
