5 Things You Didn't Know About Antony & Cleopatra

Learn yourself a little about Australian/London duo Antony & Cleopatra.

Recently we featured the video clip for London-based duo Antony & Cleopatra's Take Me, a lush few minutes of 2-step and house set to the visuals of history's most famous couples. Comprising of Sparkadia frontman Alex Burnett and London vocalist, Anita Blay, their musical pedigree is one that can't be questioned, so it's no surprise the resultant tunes are an absolute delight. We thought it'd be a good idea to find out a little bit more about the duo, which you can do below along with tucking into their first two single and remix packages:

5 Things You Didn't Know About Antony & Cleopatra

1. Alex and Anita (Antony & Cleopatra) met in London five years ago in a pop writing session gone astray. The third writer of that session has gone on to become the artist, Tieks.

2. Alex is originally from Sydney and Anita from London, however, they made their record in Brooklyn with Sammy Bananas and his trusted engineer Chipwich.

3. Anita is an encyclopaedia of knowledge when it comes to R&B-leaning pop from 1996 to the present day. Very useful to have her on your trivia team. Plus her laugh is so infectious that even if the topic of music doesn't come up, she brings it in that regard.

4. In their spare time, Alex swims between islands and Anita moonlights as a soon-to-be music mogul.

5. Anita used to (maybe still does...) have a crush on Pitbull. Alex crushes on everyone.
