Featuring your playful neighbourhood dominatrix.

While a few fans may have been surprised by the dark, brooding punk sounds on recent singe Tinfoil Boy; Jamie T's new tune Power Over Men, the second cut from forthcoming record Trick, is much more in line with the bright, indie vibes we've come to expect from the London songwriter over his past three albums. While it probably seems like a worn out comparison these days, Power Over Men is jam-packed with Arctic Monkeys-esque airtight rhythms and sharp vocal delivery; something which certainly isn't to be misconstrued as a negative. With the first two releases from Trick being so wonderfully opposed to one another in both style and mood, it appears Jamie T's fourth record will be brimming with exciting surprises - undoubtedly something to do with the fact that his influences for the record were as diverse as The Clash and RZA. Power Over Men comes with a brilliant, if not slightly unnerving, video; featuring a sweet, middle-aged dominatrix and playing on the literal interpretation of the song's title. Trick drops on September 2.
