Swoon over C'est Toi, the new single from Tame Impala's Cameron Avery

The Perth talent's solo work is well worth your time.

Cameron Avery is officially one of Australia's busiest musicians, with the Tame Impala/POND/The Growl member having just released another taste of his debut solo record in the form of stunning single, C'est Toi. The Perth talent, now based in LA, recorded the new single with legendary musician/producer Jonathan Wilson, who's worked with the likes of Father John Misty, Erykah Badu and Elvis Costello. C'est Toi sees Avery, who has just signed to iconic US label ANTI, taking giant steps away from the distortion fuelled chug of The Growl or the fuzzed-out psychedelica of TI and POND; instead allowing his smooth, brooding vocals to take centre stage over sparse piano chords and pained guitar strums. This heartfelt tune from the multi-talented muso also copped some beautifully shot visuals, courtesy of JOY Collective's Mike Bennet and Nathan Lewis and a stack of late night 'guerilla filming sessions'.
