Premiere: Young Robin - Evermore

The outfit captures “the feeling of evermore” with a breathtaking clip featuring shots of WA's natural beauty.

Late in 2021 WA outfit Young Robin released their well-received 6-track EP Imago, an indie-rock delight rich with self reflective story-telling and capturing the groups evolution as musicians and songwriters thus far. To follow on from the strong release, the group teamed up with Boorloo/ Perth director and creative Sarah Haleem to transform the story of track 3 Evermore into a fitting visual experience.

For some context, Evermore is described by guitarist Sophian as “a story about how no matter where you come from, and the struggles you have been through, inner peace awaits at the end. It's the feeling of evermore." Leaning into that, Young Robin drew from their origins with the picturesque clip, incorporating the beautiful surrounds from which the band was birthed - which includes ‘iconic’ West Australian locations such as Serpentine National Park and Lancelin.

On the creation of the clip, Sarah shares that "Working with Young Robin has always been a pleasure. Obviously they are very talented artists who have a complex and emotive way of writing music. Inspired by this, I wanted to portray the story of 'Evermore' through a symbolic journey.”

We’ve heard word that the release of the clip kicks off 2022’s plans for more new music coming soon… but for now be transported to the beautiful places that Young Robin takes us to with Evermore as the music video premieres today on Pilerats.
