French musical-chameleon announces highly anticipated sophomore LP with uplifting new single & video

After releasing his acclaimed debut album Sonic Poems in February 2022, Lewis OfMan has announced the follow-up with Cristal Medium Blue set for a February 2024 release. To announce the album, Lewis has unveiled his latest single and video, the upper tempo, euphoric sounds of Hey Lou featuring Parisian singer Camille Jensen.

Pairing breakbeat drums with a driving bass line, mellow guitar lines and arpeggiated synths, Lewis & Camille trade verses before coming together for gorgeous two-part harmonies on the choruses. Matching the light, breezy vibes of the song are the music video, shot in the Californian Poppy Fields and featuring Lewis and Camille wandering through the countryside.

I wrote this song in Greece, pretty much at the same time I was working on ‘Highway’. The arpeggio synth and rhythm machine come from messing around with this Yamaha PS30 I had” Lewis says. “Then I found this voice melody. I was thinking about Leonard Cohen’s ‘Death of a Ladies’ Man’ album, as well as ‘So Long Marianne’ - hence the choir sample.
