Listen: FFS - Piss Off

Now this a bit of step back into the history books, remember Take Me Out? That song that was on Madden NFL 2005 and was one of THE songs of the alternative rock revival in the UK in the mid-noughties. Well the band who wrote that, Franz Ferdinand have teamed up with late 60s band Sparks to create FFS (Acronym of their names and sadly not For Fuck’s Sake). And despite my limited knowledge of Sparks, FFS can be seen as mashing together the high notes of Franz Ferdinand and their playful riffs with the more manic elements of Sparks in their self-titled double LP.
