Exclusive: Watch Fiction Writer rip through their entire new EP One To Four live

Plus frontman Gideon Benson gives us a little track by track for the release.

Late last year saw the release of the debut single No Rumour from Fiction Writer, which lead to the three-piece's debut EP One To Four which came out just before Christmas. The four-track is something of a scuzzy space rock odyssey, with lead singer/songwriter/guitarist Gideon Bensen (formerly of The Preatures) taking Fiction Writer from passion project to fully fledged outfit with the addition of bandmates Wade Keighran and Nicholas Meredith. And today we're excited to offer you an exclusive look into what that project looks like in full live flight with a live video of the group busting out the EP from start to finish.

Check it out below, along with a little track by track from Bensen going a bit deeper into the release:

NO RUMOUR

No Rumour addresses the desire you have to rekindle a relationship that has ended. When you try to reignite a spark between one another and realise what you have is no longer the same and perhaps your better off apart.

IN TOO DEEP

This track centres around the inner monologue you have within your head. The notion of repetitive thinking. Finding it difficult to move past a certain point in your head and break through to a point where you can put past events behind you.

DESIRE

This was one of the first tracks I wrote. It came at a time when I was really searching for a reason why I wanted to make music, and the relationship I have with the process. I wanted to address how making music made me feel, the connection I have with it and what it does for repairing the soul and exercising emotions and the mind.

AIN'T THE LOVE THAT I NEED

This track was really a continuation from Desire. I wrote this when I was in London and really searching for what I wanted to do next. I guess the song is really about feeling smothered and needing some space to breath and really looking to what can be achieved when your feeling your most vulnerable.
