Ball Park Music return with a summery new anthem, Exactly How You Are

Exactly How You Are is the first single from the band's upcoming fifth album, which we can expect "early next year."

Ever since 2011's Happiness and Surrounding Suburbs, Brisbane five-piece Ball Park Music have been staples of Australia's indie-rock scene. In the three albums which have arrived since - 2012's Museum, 2014's Puddinghead and last year's Every Night The Same Dream - Ball Park Music have cemented their joyful, festival-ready sound as one of Australia's most well-loved, selling out a shit-tonne of shows and scoring a couple of big festival spots over the past few years. Exactly How You Are is the band's first taste of their upcoming fifth album and much like their past stuff, it's a sun-soaked, summery anthem which will no doubt soundtrack our lives as we head into the warmer months. While we don't have many deets on the album just yet, the band confirmed to triple j with the single's premiere that the album is "nearly finished and ready to go." Pressed for a release date, frontman Sam Cromack said: "I think it’s going to be released early next year, is the phrase I’ve been instructed to use." Listen to the track below, and check out Ball Park Music at this year's Festival Of The Sun and NYE On The Hill.
