Music videos are artistic extensions of the songs themselves, with many visual accompaniments becoming just as, if not more iconic than the song it was created for. As usual, some of our favourite songs of the week also had some of our favourite videos, with this week's list including new singles & videos from Alex Lahey, Cable Ties, DEBBY FRIDAY, Georgia, Jessy Lanza, Nabihah Iqbal, Pierce Brothers, Royel OtisThe Cat Empire, Tyler, The Creator, Viji and VOIID!

Alex Lahey - They Wouldn't Let Me In

Lahey gives us the next taste of her forthcoming album with a motorik cut of indie pop alongside a video that sees Alex assume the role of a furniture salesperson, dancing away in an empty shop. New album The Answer Is Always Yes out May 19 via Liberation Records.

Cable Ties - Time For You

Melbourne post-punks drop a rock & roll infused new single featuring an aesthetically pleasing video that sees the trio dancing against a backdrop of pure darkness before they find themselves in the beauty of the Aussie great outdoors. New album All Her Plans out June 23 via Poison City / Merge Records.

DEBBY FRIDAY - WHAT A MAN

Lifted from her brand new album GOOD LUCK, Toronot's FRIDAY drops a post-record release video for one of the album's stand out cuts, that sees DEBBY exploring live art classes and strip clubs. New album GOOD LUCK out now via Sub Pop.

Georgia - It's Euphoric

London's Georgia makes her return with addictive, mellow & euphoric new bop, with the video seeing Georgia taking part in some very bizarre athletics events. New album Euphoric out July 28 via Domino.

Jessy Lanza - Don't Leave Me

Upper tempo, soaring electronic pop from producer & vocalist wiz Lanza, with a beautifully bizarre, almost David Lynch style music video shot in L.A.

Nabihah Iqbal - Sunflower

A gorgeous & appropriately Sunflower themed video shot in Cape Town for Iqbal's propulsive & heavenly new single. New album DREAMER out April 28 via Ninja Tune.

Pierce Brothers - In The Water

Cinematic & nostalgic, the video for the Pierce Brothers new single of rousing indie-folk combines cardboard armour and imaginary friends in touching fashion.

Royel Otis - Going Kokomo

From tagging dingy bathroom stalls, skating on a bridge and smoking joints in a field, the video for Royel Otis' latest single is as fun and upbeat as the song itself. New EP Sofa Kings out now via Ourness.

The Cat Empire - Thunder Rumbles

With a fresh line-up (including Pilerats fave Grace Barbe on bass and vox!), beloved Aussie band drop a brass-filled latin-influenced new single and trippy, psychedelic video cleverly utilising green screen.

Tyler, The Creator - Dogtooth

Dogs and construction sites are the order of the day on one of Tyler's two surprirse new singles. Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale is out now.

Viji - Down

London-based, Austrian-Brazilian channels chill grungey 90s alt-rock vibes with a video that at first appears "normal" before unveiling its peculiar and eccentric narrative in engaging fashion.

VOIID - Free Kitten

More enchanting grungey alt-rock vibes on the latest single from Meanjin/Brisbane four piece and a cute & clever CGI kitten-themed video. NEw album Watering Dead Flowers out April 28 via Damaged Records.

Enjoy all these tunes as well as our favourite singles of the week and a stack of other new music we've been feeling in our Office playlist.
