Album of the Week: Skrillex - Quest For Fire | 2023 Week 7

After nine long years, Skrillex makes a triumphant return on his star studded sophomore album + new records from Caroline Polachek, Anna B Savage, Screaming Females, Orbital and more

After a string of dope singles over the last few months, the wait for Skrillex's second album is finally over… and was more than worth it, as he’s joined by a diverse cast of musical collaborators across 15 tracks that span the dance music spectrum, from four to the floor house to deep, distorted dubstep, all packed with pop sensibilities and catchy hooks.

A true crossover artist, at this point in his career Skrillex spans both the commercial and underground worlds as exemplified by Quest For Fire. With the list of collaborators having the likes of Porter Robinson, Missy Elliott, Fred again.., Aluna and Kito on the one hand and Mr. Oizo, Four Tet, Joker, Flowdan and Noisia on the other is a testament to Sonny Moore’s talent as one of our generation's most influential artists.
