Framed: Morgana Wallace

Paper-cut collages based in fairytale and fantasy.

Morgana Wallace is a visual artist whose interest in paper-cut collages began during a printmaking class, inspired by the texture of these compositions. Japanese linen paper and thin card stock are among her favourite materials, while the media of gouache and watercolour also feature extensively in rendering her creations. Each scene features characters based in myth, fantasy and fairytale - most familiar, others new. From beasts to kings and heroines, Wallace's imagined world is extensive.
