Framed: Drug Aware Presents Illuminations - Exhibition Opening

Illuminations opens tonight - an eco-art exhibition that examines themes of sustainability, consumerism and ecological collapse, featuring local artists Alex Tate, Bonnie Boogaard, Emma Buswell, Kieron Broadhurst, Loren Kronemyer and Lyndon Blue, curated by Bridget Bathgate. Each installation piece within the show will require audience participiation to illuminate the artwork, relying on alternative sources of light powered by bicycles and hand-generators for the art to be seen. The interactive element of the show was amplified by its use of crowdfunding to produce, power and install the apparatus involved. Illuminations opens tonight - the 27th of January - at 5pm inside the Blue Room Theatre, as part of Fringe World 2016. The show runs until the 20th of February.
