New Music: Kodak to Graph – Los Angeles

Found-sound producer Kodak To Graph gives us the first sounds from his debut album.

Florida producer Kodak to Graph aka Michael Maleki, has been getting busy lately. The 23-year-old, who recently announced his massive Break The Ice tour of the US alongside producer buddies Big Wild and OBESON, has just released a new single, Los Angeles. Kodak to Graph found success in 2014 through his consistent release of remixes, such as his remix of Doja Cat’s So High

The texture-heavy track makes great use of found sound, along with some neat vocal samples and percussive elements. Maleki, who moved to LA during the writing of his new album, told FADER recently that the new single is a “collision of the still and quiet of Florida and the noise and static of downtown LA”.

Los Angeles is the first taste of Maleki’s upcoming debut album ISA, which has been set a release date of March 10th. You can listen to the track below, along with the Doja Cat remix.
