WAM Song Of The Year Now Open For Submissions

Calling all West Australian songwriters.

The WAM song of the year is once again open for entries until Monday the 25th of January, and with over $40,000 in prizes up for grabs it's well worth getting interested in. There are 16 different categories including Blues/Roots, Country, Electronic, Experimental, Folk, Jazz, Metal/Heavy, Punk/Hardcore, Pop, Rock, Urban/Hip Hop and World, as well as categories for school age students, Outstanding Indigenous and Outstanding Regional. Each category winner earns themselves a cash prize and recording time with some of WA’s best studios.

The Song Of The Year is picked from the selected category winners and the recipient of this award will be walking away with some serious prizes; $3,000, studio time at Albert Studios in Sydney, a RODE microphone package, publishing and sync licensing deals, free digital distribution, a Berklee music course of your choosing plus more! Some seriously epic shit up for grabs.

Last year's category winners included Tired Lion, Chaos Divine, Methyl Ethel, Rag’n’Bone and Coin Banks, with KUCKA taking out the overall prize for her song Unconditional.

Head over to the WAM Website for more info and details on how to enter.
