Touch Sensitive, KLP and more added to EMC 2017 speaker lineup

Joining some exciting new panels for the Nov 29-30 event in Sydney.

Sydney's Electronic Music Conference (EMC) has announced further speakers descending upon the two-day celebration of dance music, taking place this coming November 29-30. This year all the conference programming will be held at Redfern's Giant Drawf and Cake Wines Cellar Door, where respected industry leaders and insiders will contribute combined knowledge and expertise in navigating today’s music climate. And while a bunch of speakers and talks have already been announced, a new round was added today including:

Breaking Down Blockchain: APRA’s Frank Rodi, Jaxsta’s Jacqui Louez Schoorl and Gazecoin’s Jonny Peters will discuss how the industry can forecast blockchain’s potential disruption.

Off Limits; Defining Artist Boundaries in the Age of Social Media: KLP, Touch Sensitive, Mary Hoang (The Indigo Project) and Vanessa Picken (Comes With Fries) will be moderated by James Mathison to explore the cost of artist accessibility, both emotionally and financially in the social media age.

Fabric: A Case Study: Fabric’s programmer and Promotions Manager Judy Griffith, Global Drug Survey UK’s Dr Adam Winstock and Night Mayor Amsterdam, Mirik Milan as facilitator will look at the role of clubs in night time culture and their representation to a wider community.

Hit the Power Button; How Tech is Supersizing Events: Eventbrite’s Chris McDonnell, Rhythm & Vines Festival’s Hamish Pinkham and Novatech’s Leko Novakovic come together to highlight its pioneering use.

EMC will look at how cutting-edge technology is changing the game for the event industry in Australia, with Hit the Power Button; How Tech is Supersizing Events, seeing industry leaders like Eventbrite’s Chris McDonnell, Rhythm & Vines Festival’s Hamish Pinkham and Novatech’s Leko Novakovic come together to highlight its pioneering use.
