SUPEREGO, Your Girl Pho, Dennis Cometti + more: Meet your In The Pines 2021 lineup

After squeezing in their 2020 event back in October, the Perth festival favourite makes its usual return this April.

Even if it didn't go ahead in their usual April time slot, 2020 didn't end In The Pines' consistent run of being a staple in the West Australian live music space. Instead, it was held in October, bringing the full In The Pines experience - great local bands and great vibes, you know the drill - to their staple home at UWA's Somerville Auditorium, with a lineup in-tow including Demon Days (with their final show, no less), Verge Collection, Grievous Bodily Calm, Felicity Groom, Adrian Dzvuke and plenty more.

This year, however, they're going back to how things are usually; the second In The Pines event in six months being held in its usual mid-April space as the festival eyes another bright year ahead. On Sunday, April 18th, In The Pines will welcome another class-A collection of West Australian heavyweights to the Somerville Auditorium, with a lineup that - as per usual for the festival - reflects the depths of the Perth's live music space regardless of genre and sound.

Pilerats favourites are amongst the list of 21 acts gracing the stage this year: R&B favourite Your Girl Pho; experimental boundary-breakers SUPEREGO; soul queen Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics; pop prowess-er Grace Sanders; Indigenous rapper to watch Flewnt; indie-punks Dennis Cometti; a big pair-up between Dan Howls and Abbe May; and experience-creators Alter Boy all included within that. Beyond that, there are some other big names too: Big Orange, HAIRCARE, Gap Year, Last Quokka and Tanya Ransom all being ones we're lucky to have talked about.

Add in the last dash of performers and a couple of food trucks - Archies Hot Chicken, Very’s Plant Based Sandwiches, Banana Leaf Philapeno Food, Obskewered, and Grey Means Well Coffee - in there, and In The Pines looks set to return with their signature brilliance after a chaotic 2020.

As usual, In The Pines will be broadcasted on RTRFM on the day, but if you want the IRL experience, you can find more information on tickets here. Otherwise, find the full lineup below:
