After years of speculation and false starts, a sequel to the 1996 mixed animated/live action film Space Jam is happening. According to the Hollywood Reporter, director Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6, Star Trek Beyond) is all about it. He's already co-writing it with Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello, and is looking to direct and produce via his Perfect Storm Entertainment. Lebron James will be taking the Michael Jordan role, following his appearance in Amy Schumer's Trainwreck.

It all sounds like a home run really (the first film clocked a pretty impressive 230 million ($USD), but the film's success really only relies on two very important things to come through. An absolute tuna of a theme song...

...and whether or not Bill Murray finds something to do in it:

Shia LaBeouf's next film may be based on the life of Kevin Abstract

The script, which appeared online overnight, "follows a Texas teen as he struggles with identity, finding meaningful relationships, sexual fluidity, and his direction in life."
