Good guys Hot Chip & Frontier Touring are donating $20 from WA show tickets to the WA Bushfire Appeal

They hit Fremantle Art Centre this Friday.

Dancefloor destroyers Hot Chip are finally making their return to the west this weekend, playing Fremantle Arts Centre on Friday 29 January with support acts Empress Of, Touch Sensitive and us on DJ duties. Reports so far from their shows over east have been nothing but epic, and keeping those good vibes flowing, Frontier Touring have announced they will donate $20 from every ticket sold this week to the Lord Mayor's Distress Relief Fund Waroona and District Fires Appeal. It of course comes after devastating fires destroyed many areas of our south west a few weeks ago, basically wiping out the entire town of Yarloop along with much more. For more info on the fund, visit www.appealswa.org.au.

Tickets for the Hot Chip show are available via Oztix - HERE.

And judging by some of the reviews, it would appear Hot Chip are a group at the height of their powers:

Everyone danced because it seemed silly to even contemplate not doing so and most of us sang or clapped or hung a hand up because it didn't occur that anything else mattered.’ – Sydney Morning Herald

Hot Chip is like an old friend you haven’t caught up with for a while. You know exactly what they’re about, you know what they’re bringing, but it isn’t until you see them that you remember just how fu**ing awesome they are and why you became friends with them in the first place.’ – Music Feeds

One never can tire of seeing this outfit live and they really do go to every effort to successfully recreate each nuance.’ – The Music

They also play The Tivoli in Brisbane on Wednesday 27 January - info/tickets HERE.

Sit back, relax, and turn down with some Simpsonwave

Long story short, it's a comedic take on the Vapourwave craze and it's here to stay.
