German illustrator Zhi-Yun draws Aussie artists as Simpsons characters

Tkay Maidza and Chet Faker get the Springfield treatment.

While drawing celebrities as comedy cartoon-inspired characters isn't exactly a new trend, German artist Zhi-Yun Zhang's illustrations are by far the best we've seen - and now two of our favourite homegrown stars have been transformed into Simpsons characters by the super talented artist. Tkay Maidza and Chet Faker are the newest additions to Zhang's gallery of artists who've been given the Springfield treatment, and there's no doubt they'd fit in perfectly amongst the inhabitants of the world's longest running series. Both Tkay Maidza and Chet Faker have been powering through 2016, with Tkay's huge Martin Solveig collab, Do It Right, getting attention for all the right reasons, while March saw Chet teaming up with Marcus Marr for the irresistibly funky Work EP. The illustrations are part of a collab between Zhang and music app Whatslively, with shirts featuring the Tkay and Chet characters being printed and gifted to 30 lucky individuals who sign up to the concert planning app.
