Jesse Boykins III drops immense new full-length, BARTHOLOMEW

Featuring appearances by Isaiah Rashad, Trinidad James, Mick Jenkins and more...

Amidst all the frantic chaos of Frank Ocean's cryptic album announcement/visual art piece, it would be easy to forget that, indeed, anything else exists in music. Chicago R&B act Jesse Boykins III, however, has emerged to remind everyone of otherwise. Having previously shown up on songs with Vic Mensa, Chance the Rapper and The Social Experiment, Boykins has, nonetheless, not been heard from as a solo artist since the release of 2014 album Love Apparatus

Now, Jesse Boykins III has taken to Soundcloud to release immense 17-track album BARTHOLOMEW, featuring guest appearances from such artists as Isaiah Rashad, Donnie Trumpet, Kilo Kish, Trinidad James, Willow Smith, Syd (of The Internet) and Mick Jenkins, among others. A genre-bending, cohesive body of work, BARTHOLOMEW may be just enough to tide the music world over until the supposed release (believe it when we see it) of Frank Ocean's album this coming Friday, and certainly more than enough for Jesse Boykins III to affirm himself as a talented solo artist in his own right.
