Premiere: Lupa J keeps us guessing on bouncy new single, Put Me Back Together

She launches the single in Sydney on April 11.

Following a strong couple of years running in triple j's Unearhted High competition over 2014/15, last year saw Lupa J really get moving, supporting huge artists like Grimes, Sarah Blasko and Tegan & Sara while also honing her production craft. And now in 2017, we have the results of the past few years of hard work with new single, Put Me Back Together. It's a wonderfully ethereal slice of upbeat, bouncy electronica, featuring Lupa J's soft yet commanding vocals for an excellent track: “I was partially inspired by Charlotte Perkins Gilman's short story 'The Yellow Wallpaper' about a depressed woman of the early 1900s driven insane by her 'rest cure' treatment. For me, it’s really about how it can be ironically somewhat liberating to embrace and express emotional instability."

Take a listen below, and catch her launch it live on Tuesday April 11 at Newtown Social Club with special guests TBA.
