Listen: Tian Karl - Times (Hysteria) EP

A tasty treat from the beat kitchen of Tian Karl.

If you haven’t heard of Tian Karl just yet, now is the time to get researching. Hot off the back of his successful release with Nervous Records, the man is bringing you a whole heap of dirty bass lines and soulful vocals with his latest EP, D-Vine Sounds.

Released last week, this EP will leave you sweaty and breathless in no time. The first track, Times (Hysteria) comes in strong with a smooth house groove and stunning vocals. The downright dirty bass is offset with tropical tones that seem to collide with searing synth that serve only to encourage the weekend. This tune is what is right with this genre of music - you need rising keys, an enticingly repetitive lyrical component, and that delicious drop that we all associate with a good ol’ time.

His second and final track Wisdom Wisdom starts off with a slow electronic simmer only to erupt into a rolling boil within no time. The dark tones emanate like steam filtering out of hot gravel as the pulsing bass melts into a punchy piano undertone. The track is just made for those who revel on dim lit dancefloors that are only interrupted by dusty smoke and diamond strobe. Deep house lords assemble!

Get your mitts on this EP if its the last thing you do. Well, it should be the last thing you do on a Friday afternoon just before you gear up for the 48 little hours that we as humans have to party before returning to the grind.
