Listen: Kenton Slash Demon - Syko

The Danish duo release the second tune off their Future Classic wax.

Last week, I introduced you to the joyous house talents of Kenton Slash Demon (KSD) and their recent signing to the FC label. To my pleasant surprise, the boys have just gifted us the second track off their 12'' vinyl - Syko.

If Buddhist monks raved, I rekon they'd be getting down to something along these lines. The composition travels steadily, filled with these almost monasterial chants that have been technologically skewed. Similar to their previous Harpe, Syko whips you into a trance of techno stabs and muffled claps before the heck you've worked out what's going on in your ears! It's bloody fantastic! I can best describe it as something of a digital fistfight, this tune genuinely ducks and weaves.

Interestingly, the track poses an oxymoron of frenzied calm. Lie down and day dream OR get up and groove, either is totally fine. In my opinion tunes like these are hard to come by - balancing on thin wire between a belter and something more laidback. Congratulations KSD you've done it again!
