Listen: Anatole - Colours

Anatole shines on the second release from his upcoming EP, due December 18th.

Amongst all the chaos in daily life, it's always nice to have a go-to chill track. They always seem to help recollect your thoughts and get cracking with life again. For a while now, my song of choice has been Bonobo's Cirrus, for obvious reasons, but now I think I've found its replacement. It comes from Anatole, a producer and multi-instrumentalist we've covered a few times (like this remix of Spirit Faces and his originalAway), who has released Colours, an instrumental track featuring a group of friends from the Sydney Conservatorium. Colours is sheer beauty; the lack of vocals force you to acknowledge the single's multi-instrumental drive, with swirling percussion and keys amongst soothing violin, viola, cello, double bass and clarinet and despite so many instruments, it never seems to clutter. Colours whisks you off the face of the planet and takes you to a much calmer, care-free place devoid of deadlines and stress. Anatole is set to release Surrounds, his forthcoming second EP on the 18th of December:
