Introducing Chuurch, an exciting duo who just dropped a moody new EP, Uunion
If you like your bangers dark and dirty and little bit different, Chuurch are your dudes.
Chuurch are a Calgary-based duo who just dropped their new EP Uunion via the bigwigs at NEST - an automatic assurance of quality if one did ever exist. It's some of the most exciting and fresh-feeling electronic music we've heard in some time, very much in the tone of forefathers like Boys Noize and Mr Oizo, it's an utterly engrossing four-track release that sounds like not much else at all in 2018 - which is why it's probably got its own genre tag - "lean bass".
Lean in, and learn a tiny little bit more about them, below:
Tell us about about yourselves?
Over night success 10 years in the making, classically trained. Crate crusaders.
What kinda tunes we talkin’?
Sycronized attacks from all angles, we're leaving you unsure about when we will strike the next blow.
Production/writing process:
"When medical kits and chemicals mix." We're constantly trying to tip the scales.
Can you tell us about your new EP, Uunion?
We're taking you on a mystery through an underground world, take care not to lurk too long or you'll get lost.
Any shows coming up?
Deadrocks with the family, Valhalla sound circus and dozens of unannounced festivals and gigs all across North America. Probably drop in on a few house parties here and there.
What’s the rest of the year have in store?
A lot of creation, more hustle. You're about to hear everything we've been cooking for the last 730 days.
Where can we hear more of your music?
