The Story So Far bring some 90s vibes in the clip for Heavy Gloom

Pop-punk heroes The Story So Far roll out the 90s vibes in their video for Heavy Gloom.

Our favourite Californian pop-punkers The Story So Far released their third album The Story So Far in May last year and yesterday gave us a fun little nostalgia-inducing video for their track Heavy Gloom. The self-titled release was the Walnut Creek five-piece's most mature work to date and Heavy Gloom is one of the highlights. A chugging bass line coupled with some ear-catching roll-work on the toms takes control of the track from the outset, while a trademark, bouncy-as-hell TSSF chorus leaves listeners nodding along in agreement with every word belted out by vocalist Parker Cannon.

The video is filmed in grainy, 90s VHS quality and follows members of TSSF as they skate around in a seemingly destructive mood; much to the displeasure of a couple of security guards who are hellbent on disciplining the hoodlums. The band offered a statement from one of the unlucky security guards on their official website following the release: “Security Chief Rich Buckley & myself, Security Officer Nutt, came across these 3 horrid punks vandalizing our property. Following an on foot pursuit, we set the precedent for what happens when you mess with security.” – Officer Doug H. Nutt.
