With an awesome name like Sugar Fed Leopards it’s no surprise to find that the soulful disco doo-wop outfit are fans of all things disco lights, bar hopping and sweaty dancefloors, which are just some of the things their new single is both inspired by and dedicated to, with T.Y.O.T. (Take You Out Tonight) out February 21 but premiering on Pilerats today.

A slinky, funky affair, T.Y.O.T. features a groove-laden bass line alongside four-to-the-floor drums, disco guitar stab strums and some scene stealing sleazy sax work. In the band’s own words, “T.Y.O.T. is a real collaborative piece, having evolved over the lockdown years as an ode to the nightlife and friendship that feed the band. We summoned all the disco, soul and rock ‘n roll sounds we could fit into this bouncy invitation to party.

T.Y.O.T. is the latest taste of the band’s forthcoming album Love. Be In It., out in just over two months, with Sugar Fed Leopards playing an all-ages matinee show at Brunswick Ballroom on Saturday 16 March with BOOF!.

Sugar Fed Leopards' new single T.Y.O.T. is out February 21, new album Love. Be In It is out April 19
