Music Video Premiere: Hannah Blackburn - In Our Wires

The singer-songwriter treats us to a captivating live video of the latest single lifted from her forthcoming LP I Want To Love You

Born in Ngunnawal/ Canberra and now calling Naarm/ Melbourne home, contemporary folk artist Hannah Blackburn has had a blossoming career over the past few years with a performance at BIGSOUND, and support slots with the likes of Archie Roach and Angie McMahon. Releasing her forthcoming album I Want To Love You early next year, she treats listeners to a stunning live video of her latest single In Our Wires lifted from the LP, premiering right here before its official release.

With the soulful strums of an acoustic guitar accompanying a soaring vocal melody,  In Our Wires is an incredibly raw and vulnerable track written as a stream of consciousness to explore the theme of romantic relationships, Hannah sharing that “I was reflecting on the exchange, what we both value in each other, what sacrifices we make for a very simple and primal thing.” Recorded on a boat in Lutruwita/ Tasmania, calming water ripples surround the singer-songwriter, as she effortlessly performs her piece with sincere conviction.

Be sure to get across Hannah Blackburn as we await the full LP’s release come February 9th 2023, with the captivating live video for In Our Wires, premiering below.
