Listen: Total Giovanni - When We Break

The synth-pop force is strong with these ones.

While you might want to label Total Giovanni Italo-Funk (hey Donny Benet and Touch Sensitive) people can get a little hung up on genres and in many ways the five-piece edge onto the sonic touchstones of the likes of Miami Horror and Cut Copy. And the lyrical content (love) combined with a thumping beat alongside clean guitar licks definitely give us a dashing 2015 re-make of nu-disco sounds of yester-year. However, Total Giovanni ain't no copycats, their music has a deep groove to it and when you get to that wailing guitar riff at the end of the song it makes sense to imagine them at a tropical beach resort in white suits sipping cocktails with Client Liaison.
