Watch: Mansionair - Speak Easy

Watch: Mansionair - Speak Easy

Mansionair's first track of the year.

The buzz around three-piece act Mansionair with their soothing soundscapes and crisp guitar licks has been slowly building for the past year and it's only going to continue considering their recent single Speak Easy. It doesn't match up to the splendour of Hold Me Down that mastered the gradual build from nothing to a mesmerising close. But where Hold Me Down grasped you from the beginning Speak Easy is far more alluring with its reverb-laced atmosphere. Indeed, there isn't so much a focus on one single instrument, like in Hold Me Down, but a concerted effort, which mostly pays off, to meld the clean guitars and high-pitched vocals into one woozy mood. Speak Easy is also the first song from Mansionair after signing to Liberation Music but I wouldn't assume this is a solo release just yet.
