Premiere: Listen to Footwork, the funk-fuelled new tune from Grievous Bodily Calm

The Perth outfit have been hard at work on their debut studio album, Repel.

Mind-melting Perth band Grievous Bodily Calm have been making sonic waves around the traps since late 2016 with their experimental mash-up of funk, soul, rock, hip hop, jazz, electronica. And following on from appearances at the likes of Falls Festival, Camp Doogs and Gizzfest, plus supporting Winston Surfshirt and Donny Bennet to name but a few, they're ready to show the world what they're about.

This year they've been squirreled away recording their debut studio album Repel, and we're proud as punch to unveil the first taste of it - Footwork. Coming in at a luxurious four-and-a-half minutes, it's groovy as all hell, with some demonic synth stabs, soaring horns and one big old vibe with a capital V.

You can catch the vibe live with them when they launch Footwork at The Bird this Saturday 23 June, get more info here.
