Castles Drawn On Sand Particles

Castles Drawn On Sand Particles

Vik Muniz and Marcelo Coelho put new meaning to the term 'fine art'.

Everyone loves to make sand castles, no doubt. But it's a small number of people who can lay claim to these pieces, which literally are sand castles, in the sense they're castles drawn on actual sand particles. In a process that took four years of experimentation, Brazil-born, NYC/Rio de Janeiro-based artist Vik Muniz has combined with artist/researcher Marcelo Coelho to create these miniscule drawings. It was done as part of The Creators Project, and you can check the video of how it all came together down the bottom.
