Introducing: LO'99

Introducing: LO'99

The Aussie house scene continues its exponential growth.

Following our premiere yesterday of Mickey Kojak's new Sinden remix (check it HERE), we figure it time to give another up-and-coming house producer some lovin' in LO'99. Fairly mysterious, he's been bobbing up with a few sweet free remixes and originals, and we get the feeling it's just the beginning and Australia falls more and more in love with the 4x4 bizness. Take a listen to LO'99's bassy sounds below, and get to know him a little better:

Tell us about about yourself?

Big fan of basslines, computer games and shoes, mostly Nike. Hoegaarden is my beer of choice :)

What kinda tunes we talkin’?

I love all types of music, but in my studio we talking 4 to the 4 bassline business. I guess house in general, but I’m definitely not shy of a broken beat or some techno.

Production/writing process:

Laydown a kick, add a lilttle percussion and go in on a b-line!! The rest comes after unless I have a vocal or melody idea in the first place. With remixes I grab the hooks I like from the original and build my track around them. I could go on and on here so I’ll leave it at that for now. I’m in Ableton.

What do you do outside of LO’99?

Don’t have a normal job atm, I do some other production bits and spend/waste lots of time on computer games.

Any shows coming up?

Nothing right now. I’m actually out of action till November but hope to have some shows to announce before then.

What’s the rest of the year have in store?

I have a few original bits finished that I’m waiting to come through and im always jammin’ away, so I’d expect some more remixes soon. Maybe a mini tour in December I hope?

Where can we hear more of your music?

Stay tuned to my SOUNDCLOUD and FACEBOOK. I don’t have a massive plan in place, sorta just hitting the ground running.. My socials will be first place to peep them, and of course sites like yours.
