Welcome To The Fam: Floria

Welcome To The Fam: Floria

With a new tune and Rae Sremmurd supports approaching, it's time to meet our next in to bat.

Beginning his creative output with anxious, moody beats back in 2012, Tristan Agostino has the spent the last 12 months carving out his own path as solo singer/production outfit Floria. First gaining recognition with the purple hued Bring It Back, and further showcased to the globe through his inclusion in our second Rat Pack' compilation, Floria’s white marble club tracks mark a shift in the sound of Australian urban music, and an acknowledgement of the wealth of creative gold dust spewing forth from the fountain of new-R&B.

Today, we're thrilled to announce his signing to Pilerats Records, and to celebrate, we've got a brand new track to give you all as a free download.

Talk 2 Me, turns it up a notch from Bring It Back and 21, dialling up the fattest kicks and white hot trance synths that ping pong around a pained vocal from the young singer. With nods to the far-from-earthly, blissed out sounds of bonafide weirdo superstars like Migos abd Future, it’s no surprise that Rae Sremmrurd hand-picked Prince Flo' to support them on the sure to be impossibly turned out sideshows to their Listen Out appearances (tour dates down the bottom). Stack all of this on top of an Unearthed Tops debut for the expertly restrained Tonight, a feature track on triple j breakfast funny guys Matt & Alex's hip hop party wrap up video, and a gargantuan appearance on stage with Sable at Splendour for a live rendition of their just-dropped collaboration Like You (Girl) from Sable’s new EP (listen HERE), it's clear that Tristan’s Floria project is here to stay.

Deep at work on his debut mixtape, the project bursts with original production, a true anomaly of the corner of music he inhabits, entirely self-producing the beats he so effortlessly rides over. Set to feature a few appearances from current world-beating UK and US producers, if Australia was ever looking for its answer to the slew of top shelf R&B artists finally making it across the pond, Floria is our answer. Check those Rae Sremmurd dates below, and keep your eyes and ears peeled for a heap more Floria news coming your way very soon:
