Retired NFL player to open world's first cannabis gym

Retired NFL player to open world's first cannabis gym

Get big while getting baked.

San Francisco is leading the way with their very first ‘stoner gym’. Yes, you read that right. A pot-loving, retired NFL player Ricky Williams had a dream, and this November he is going to see it come to life. Power Plant Fitness will allow all patrons to get high while they work out, allowing members to vape and consume edibles (hash-brownies/cookies) while they sweat it out.

Williams will be joined by Jim McAlpine, the founder of the 420 Games, which is essentially the Olympics for those who are fond of the herb. As marijuana consumption is legal in California, McAlpine says that: “People are eager to come away from an era of prohibition and misinformation…where they can live their lives…without fear of judgement or even worse, going to jail.

With a solid goal in mind, Power Plant Fitness will focus on integrative full body and mind training, combatting stereotypes of the typical pothead being a lazy couch potato. Or more to the point, being able to burn off the many calories demolished thanks to those munchies.
