M Night Shyamalan pulls 23 personalities together for new film, Split

Are we seeing the return to form of M Night?

Indian-American director M. Night Shyamalan, previously of films such as The Sixth SenseSigns and The Village, saw a return to form in 2015 with the release of horror film The Visit. Following a run of three consecutive box office flops that fell well afoul of critical acclaim, including the Will/Jaden Smith led After Earth, the fresh glimpse of M. Night Shyamalan's original promise and potential (following the success of Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense) was greeted with relief and excitement from film fans around the world. Now, in 2017, M. Night Shyamalan looks to keep the ball rolling with upcoming film Split, set to feature an extensive all-star cast of a whopping 23 James McAvoys! No, you didn't read that wrong.

Looking to present James McAvoy at both his charismatic and chilling best, Split will find the Scottish actor balancing 23 separate personalities as three teenage girls fight to survive the resulting chaos. Watch the first feature trailer for Split below, and expect it January 20 in 2017.
