The hip hop community is still mourning the passing of New York-based hip hop collective A$AP Mob founder Steven A$AP Yams Rodriguez, who was found dead by his roommate on January 18 this year. The tragedy has come at a strange time for the group, who'd just scrapped their debut album L.O.R.D, with most of the unreleased tracks likely to appear on the future solo albums of A$AP Mob's members.

Gearing up for his own upcoming spring mixtape release, lesser known London-based member A$AP TyY (who was behind Comme Des Fawk Down with Young Money last year) has released a track featuring the deceased Mob boss, Chamber Lock feat A$AP Yams. Produced by the talented Rodney Hazard, the track is smooth, dark and respectful, and features an eerie voice recording of A$AP Yams, which contributes to the uneasy mood of despair that pervades the track. It’s a thematically fitting reflection of the anguish Yams fans are likely currently experiencing.
