We got an early look at Kate Boy's new single/video clip, True Colours, and it is stunning

They're now permanently based in Australia, and we are all the way in for what comes next.

Half-Australian half-Swedish duo Kate Boy have been steadily crafting a pretty great career thus far, with an icey-cool take on electronic-pop very reflective of half the twosome's homeland, where they spent much of the last few years writing, recording, producing and touring. And that icey cool, monochramatic style both sonically and visually, while great, also kind of kept them at arm's length for many. In recent times the duo, consisting of Kate Akhurst and Markus Dextegen, have made a more permanent shift to the warmer surrounds of Australia's east coast, and it signals the beginning of a new chapter in their career. And the first paragraph is True Colours, a breathtaking new single that shows a warmer, more organic side to Kate Boy that we are very very into. Between Akhurst's vocal delivery and the swelling, emotive production, it's a real piece of art.

It's fresh off the press today, and comes with an equally stunning video treatment courtesy of a collaboration between themselves and artist Air Weinkle. This stopped us dead in our tracks, and we think it will do the same for you. Take a look below as we welcome Kate Boy to their new home down under - we can't wait to see what lies ahead.
