RL Grime announces 'NOVA' release date, shares new single

Undo, which features Jeremih and Tory Lanez, is the latest cut from his long-awaited second album.

Over the past year, US beat-maker and Australian club favourite RL Grime has been teasing his long-awaited second album NOVA, which follows on from his wildly popular debut VOID back in 2014. After a three-peat of singles last year in ReimsEra and the Miguel-featuring favourite Stay For It, he's now quickening the pace a little with two new tracks – I Wanna Know, the Daya-featuring pop-centric cut released earlier this year, and now Undo, which features the R&B tag-team of Jeremih and Tory Lanez.

It kicks off with a fairly subdued production for the bass-reliant favourite, combining a very Drake-like beat with Jeremih's smooth vocal which quickly turns into a characteristically large, bassy breakdown layered with a clanging melody and vocal chops.

The single also comes with a little more detail on NOVA's hotly-awaited release, with the confirmation of a release date (July 27th, via his own WEDIDIT label) and a long list of collaborations as a part of the official tracklisting. Miguel, Julia Michaels, Joji and Ty Dolla $ign are among the already-known names joining RL on his second album, which by the sounds of things, comes after a bit of a transition period for the producer. "NOVA came from obsessive ideation on growth, and on transition," he says in a statement. "The art, and stories, and the moments that inspired me through this record tend to explore this as well. The feeling of leaving behind what was, and of welcoming the foreign." Find the official tracklisting below and pre-order the record HERE.
