Last year we were charmed by the tropical house-sounding banger Masked, a single (and whole EP) we ended up releasing via Pilerats Records by Melbourne beat-maker SBMRGE (if you want a re-visit for nostalgia reasons - you can still listen to it HERE). He's since ditched the name and the sound, increased the banger-factor ten-fold and now releases heavy house jams under the name of Peruw, including City of Gold, a new single he released this week. A mash of tech-house and industrial-house, City of Gold is a lengthy blend of building synth and percussion, rising until a pretty impressive Golden Features-esque drop. With an upcoming release schedule full of heavy bangers, City of Gold is just the start for the producer, a damn good one at that. Listen below.
