Kronic will satisfy the trip-hop hunger of many with his new single NRG off his upcoming EP Sophisticated Ignorance. NRG lives up to its acronym, as your pulse and blood rises with feelings of invincibility, as you rinse or side step to the track’s heavy bass and kick drums. Distorted synths only add to the reckless abandon that runs through your mind and body, as you then absolutely lose yourself in dat all-consuming hook. Ragga-filled vocals by Conkarah egg on our angst-driven music sensibilities whilst interlude vocals by Nikki Jean take you into a slight trance of calm, until bringing you back to the drops. NRG is savage and we’re looking forward to what comes next on the to-be-released EP it comes from.
