Introducing: Jamyang

Jamyang is a WA-based producer/songwriter who's relatively fresh to the scene, although with tunes so captivating we just had to add him to our upcoming At The Pile show with Panama and cln (details HERE, art down the bottom). And given many of you may not have heard of him, we thought with the release of his new EP Perisher, it's a good time to get to know him a little better. So chuck Perisher on below, and learn a little about one of our favourite new acts.

Tell us about about yourself?

Music is my priority right now, learning the craft, and developing myself for the future. 

What kinda tunes we talkin’?

Electronic soul.

Production/writing process:

It’s all about the FEEL, and putting that into a recording... Sometimes words, beat or chords first.

What do you do outside of JAMYANG?

Exercise, cook and keep steady.

Any shows coming up?

I’m playing an EP launch end of June/early July, the Rosemount July 12 and a few more shows on the horizon for the rest of July.

And releases?

I've just released my new EP, Perisher.

What’s the rest of the year have in store?

More shows, bigger crowds and maybe an album!
