Melbourne four-piece Sunfruits are rapidly becoming one of our favourite Australian bands in the broader psych pop and indie rock scene (or is that indie pop and psych rock), with their just-released debut album One Degree more than living up to the expectations set by a string of awesome singles, and building on what we heard on their 2020 EP Certified Organic.

A week on from album release, Sunfruits have readied a music video for standout cut Hello Future Me, a track that sees the band’s drummer Gene Argiro once again take the vocal spotlight on a song that channels 90s indie and Madchester vibes while exploring dystopian and existential themes regarding fate and destiny.

The nostalgic video alternates between scenes of the four piece jamming out Hello Future Me with shots of the band in parks and the city, all shot in a gorgeously nostalgic and retro style, including plenty of fisheye lens action.

Check out the video for Hello Future Me as it premiers on Pielrats today (and keep your eyes peeled for a feature interview with the band dropping very soon)!
