Contemplating the circles of unhealthy habits and repetitive lifestyles we all find ourselves in is 23-year-old self-produced multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Charlie Hanrahan on upbeat new single Circles, out February 10 but premiering on Pilerats today.

Fusing elements from hip-hop, soul, funk and pop, Circles features mellow boom bap style drums alongside a hypnotic, psychedelic lead guitar line that lay the foundation for Charlie’s tender, dulcet vocals that alternate from soft singing to spitting bars.

Speaking on his new single, Hanrahan explains "‘Circles’ is about those typical lazy, hungover, and rather mundane days we have in our lives. For me, these days happen on a hungover Sunday." Regarding his creative process, Charlie shares "Music is my escape. I spend hours upon hours in my home studio creating, listening, obsessing, dancing, admiring, and cherishing. It truly is the love of my life."

With an album on the cards for later this year, go in Circles a few days ahead of release:
